@Basir 's concern is that Algo price barely rises when Bitcoin rises but drops sharply when Bitcoin falls.

Algorand Foundation (AF) is the probable “culprit”. When the Bitcoin price rises, they are dumping tokens to fund their operations. Approximately 40 to 64 million USD/year are AF’s estimated operating costs, according to AF’s Transparency Reports. This structural sell-pressure caps upside.

AF recently switched to for-profit, but Algo holders are seemingly not AF equity holders. Let me quote from my forum article [Some questions regarding the economic sustainability of Algorand](https://forum.algorand.co/t/some-questions-regarding-the-economic-sustainability-of-algorand/15206) , “Algo holders […] have no governance power over Foundation decisions. Board members are appointed unilaterally. Major partnerships are approved without community input.”

The long awaited “King Safety” paper was never published.

AF have two main goals now: post-quantum safety, and leading role in agentic commerce.
