A warm hello to the best community on the planet :)))) Governance Period 8 voting will open at the start of September, and we are seeking your feedback on the drafted measures before adding them to the ballot. The overall governance rewards allocation for Governance Period 9 will be 40M Algo. As …

I am afraid that if we will make only “Incentivize online stake” thing, in the future there will be no incentive to participate the servers runners… You can make your account online without running any software, but someone has to take the infrastructure costs… I would not call this incentivization …

Can we not just use the folks finance system and allocate 500k algo from governance rewards? It seems they are already attempting to track and incentivise participation from what I assume is their own funds. Minimum of 95% uptime in order to qualify. Maybe vote each period to increase rewards as …

Do you have more info on folks incentivization of participation? From what i heard on The next block they want to incentivize only the online stake, not the node running nor indexer services. Benedetto however did not shared any details. I wonder also how their incentivization works… Do they incen…

NFT’s are popular when the chain is doing well. it isn’t doing well right now. it’…

ok, i see… you have to use the folks algo commitment so that you can put your escrow account to online state i dont like this because not everyone can get hands on the rewards… if Algorand foundation would put 500k Algos as “Online participation rewards” to the folks, this would lead that only Fo…

I am not sure this is the case as I have successfully registered participation keys for my own node which is not taking part in governance. I guess I will find out at the end of gp8 when the rewards are distributed. I do think it’s a good option for the foundation but I agree it should not be limi…

You mean in this form? [image] I see that you can do it only for the escrow address… do you see there some option to select the address? I wonder how to “register” already existing online account… The fields there are obivously only to make the kereg tx with your the escrow to register your escr…
