Streamlining xGov Council for a High-Quality Election

Thanks for your comments.

Governance Period 15 was initially intended to be hosted in Q2. It was moved to Q3 to align with the launch of the xGov platform on mainnet.

The xGov council voting session will be hosted in the same governance portal we have been using for the last couple of years, with two main differences: (1) there will be no rewards and (2) the governance period will be very short. Everything else remains the same.

Each candidate will have a measure highlighting their expertise and linking their applications to help the voters get to know them.

Voters will be required to vote on all measures, and three choices will be offered: yes, no, or abstain.

@trekianov will post the methodology for sorting the results, and the top 11 candidates will form the official first cohort of the xGov council.

Once the first council is established, we will work with the community to continue to evolve their role through new governance measures.

Thanks @Algohodler for your feedback. Would you mind elaborating on this?
We have been talking about xGov for so long!

Now that the platform is almost ready for the public testnet, I’m writing the user documentation to accompany it.

All governance and xGov guides will be posted primarily on the forum, so it’s easy for the community to find and reference them and for us to maintain them.
