Hi
We decided not to move forward with this proposal
Would you be willing to elaborate on your decision?
Sure, there are 2 main reasons:
- Algorand Community sentiment. This proposal originated as a highly requested feature from the Chainspect team by Algorand community. It was meant to be a step forward to the community to help them see the new highly requested feature live. However, this sentiment has changed significantly and now is not seen as a help from the Chainspect team, but as a specific ask for funds.
- Proposal process. We created the proposal in the middle of February. We spent 10+ hours on making it and engaging with the community expecting a standard 3-4 week approval/rejection process available on the majority of chains. However, the process seems not to be matured yet, as there is no structure and dates in place.
Hope this feedback will help Algorand to improve
I’m sorry to hear about the negative sentiment, but overall a few voices doesn’t speak for the larger community.
In regards to point 2) the new version of xGov will be a more streamlined process that will only take 3 weeks for proposals less than 50kA. This entire process is new and will be out of the pilot program after this session.
Not sure why we would give a proposal for a platform that is supposed to track stats already. It should already be happening to make your site have more dynamic stats. Not sure there is value here especially only 6K. This should just get done as part of your own business.
Also the community is fighting for better statistics but the platforms like yours and others I don’t see them engaging with other platforms to correct stats or make sure things are delivered correctly. The community is doing the heavy lifting and Algorand pays you to do some minor updates that should already been in the works. Dont see the benefit to pay for this.
If anything you should do it then market around it to engage and create more business. You would make that money in revenue if marketed properly to dAPPS
