xGov 188: PiPhi Network Submission

If you broked it down, you should probably update also the header (line 13).

Hey, thanks for your response and feedback. We have updated the proposal to only asking for this round as suggested. We have adjusted the amount to around 140k algos. Do you feel like this is a more feasible ask ?

I simply can’t understand what i am voting for in this proposal. Salary for one dev - what will they deliver? I really want to vote for depin project on algorand, but you are making it hard. Please state deliverables clearly and you might get my vote.

Hi @Aftermath, wanted to make sure you understand how xGov funding works. You only get funds if your proposal is approved, there is no partial (tier funding). If you proposal is approved, the funds are released when ALL the deliverables are completed. So, if you are asking for a large amount that comprises a large number of deliverables, you’ll need to make it all happen before accessing the funds.
Might be best to break up your proposal into milestones (as per specified in the ARC-34) and submit the first milestone.

Hi @Adri,

It was suggested by the community members in earlier conversation that we break it into Milestones and Quarterly Injections to have a better chance of being approved so we were taking that advice and applying it where possible. There would be dependency on the grant in order to retain someone for a full year as hiring someone for 3 months is not as easy as some would think. Therefore we are adjusting the proposal to simply include the milestone to attain one full time salary employee.

I have updated the proposal below to eliminate any partial funding and state the 1st milestone requirement for the salary based employee.

Thank you,

update to proposal to eliminate any partial funding and underscore the 1st milestone requirement of a full time salary based employee.

Funding Allocation

PiPhi requests $77,500 (387500 ALGO) in outside funding to support operations and development for the next 12 months. This amount will sustain the salaries of one full-time hire.

This milestone will be achieved at the time we hire our first salaried employee.

Employee 1 ($77,500/Yr): Responsible for PiPhi development, coding, testing, error identification and error patching.

Hi @expertgovernor,

Appreciate the feedback. We highlighted a good portion of the deliverables in the outline which highlights " customer service and direct community engagement while continuing development work for the open source developer incentivized framework. This allows developers from inside and outside of the algorand ecosystem to inject value by adding new sensors and automation features to the platform for all users of the software to install or use as addons or plugins. In return, they are rewarded in PIPHIN tokens each time these feature or sensor addons and plugins are installed and used."
