Algorand transactions are usually quick, but sometimes exchanges like Coinbase take longer to process deposits due to network congestion or additional confirmations. I’d suggest first checking your transaction ID (TXID) on AlgoExplorer to confirm it went through on-chain
I searched using the address EZRVNZFJGOUZC67FUMEC7ZMVP232TPICFTQCVZ6EQEIRRT3TIHSKZULRNI and checked your transaction. Can you confirm that your address is JCK…SSI?
To explain the situation: you have sent xALGO, which Coinbase cannot receive. On Algorand, the receiving address cannot receive assets it has not opted into, and likewise, assets cannot be sent to addresses that have not opted in—this is part of Algorand’s opt-in mechanism. While this opt-in system helps prevent spam, it has created some issues for developers, such as making airdrops impossible. To address this, a new “Inbox” specification was defined about a year ago. According to this specification, if the recipient has not opted into the asset, it can still be sent to the recipient’s Inbox address.
The EZR… address you provided is the Inbox address linked to the Coinbase address. Assets in this Inbox address can be transferred into the Coinbase address using Coinbase’s private keys. You do not have the authority to withdraw assets from the Inbox address yourself. Therefore:
If Coinbase can process the withdrawal, they can return the assets to you.
If Coinbase cannot handle it, it will be considered a loss (GOX).
Coinbase can technically withdraw the assets, but it would require interacting with an unfamiliar smart contract, which they may refuse to do for security reasons. There is also a possibility that handling the transaction may incur a fee.
This is a situation that neither the Algorand community nor the Pera Algorand team can resolve. You need to speak directly with Coinbase support.
For Coinbase to be able to operate this address, certain conditions must be met. Specifically, Coinbase would need to import the private key of the original address into Pera Wallet. Otherwise, they cannot access this Inbox address.
Once it is imported into Pera Wallet, it can be claimed from the Inbox.
