Questions About Who Can Enter the Algoland campaign

I have some questions regarding the Algoland campaign, as there are parts of the Terms and Conditions (https://www.algoland.co/terms-and-conditions) that I could not fully understand.

Regarding eligibility, the following is stated:

Algoland Sweepstakes – Official Rules

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence. Employees, officers and directors of Algorand Foundation Ltd. (“Sponsor”), Brandmovers, Inc. d/b/a The A Team (“Administrator”), and each of their respective franchisees, parents, retailers, distributors, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and advertising agencies, along with members of the immediate family or same household as such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility and all facts at any time, and entrants agree to cooperate in any verification process/request. The Sweepstakes begins on September 22, 2025, at 8:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on December 22, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (“Sweepstakes Period”).

Does this mean that the eligibility for the entire Algoland campaign is limited only to adults residing in the United States? Or, as stated in this disclaimer (https://algorand.co/algorand-foundation/disclaimer), can anyone over 18 from regions not excluded participate? (In other words, the U.S. is specifically mentioned because it would otherwise be part of the excluded regions.)

If the latter is the case, the prizes are listed in the following section:

6. PRIZES: The prizes offered in this Sweepstakes are as listed below.

Is this prize list only for the U.S., with separate tables for other countries, or is it a universal list applicable worldwide?

Additionally, it states that entries can be submitted by mail:

3. HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes

(b) Mail-in Entry: Neatly handprint on a piece of paper your name, complete address (with ZIP code), age, email address. Then, mail your completed entry in a stamped first-class, hand-addressed envelope to: Algoland Sweepstakes, PO Box 1468, Social Circle, GA 30025. Your mail-in entry will be included in the weekly drawing corresponding to the entry period during which your entry was postmarked. If postmarked on the final postmark date for a given period, per the schedule in Section 4 below, your entry will be included in the weekly drawing for the Entry Period directly preceding that postmark date. Incomplete, illegible, damaged, incorrectly addressed, late, lost, misdirected and postage-due entries will not be accepted, acknowledged, or returned. Entries must be postmarked and received per the schedule in Section 4 below.

There is no specific mention of this, but for mail-in entries, is it correct that participants do not need to complete the weekly tasks?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @aper_nft I shared this thread with the campaign team and await a reply.

Hi @aper_nft just heard back from the team:

We’ve seen some questions about the mail-in entry option for the sweepstakes.
Here’s the simple explanation: U.S. law requires every sweepstakes to include a free, no-purchase entry method. The mail-in route exists to ensure the sweepstakes is fully compliant and not considered a lottery.
So:

  • Quest = the engaging, community experience we designed for you

  • Mail-in = the free entry route for compliance

Both count as valid entries, but if you want the full adventure, the quest is the path to Algoland. As for eligibility, the rules are guided by our official disclaimer. In short, participation is open to anyone over 18 from permitted regions as set out there. The U.S. is called out specifically because of sweepstakes law, but otherwise, the eligibility framework is determined by the disclaimer, which you can find here: Disclaimer

I see, my question has been resolved. Thank you for your answer.

Great! Thanks for the question and have a great weekend on the way to Algoland :world_map:
