The votes are in and have been double-checked. Governance Period 15 governors have elected an outstanding first cohort for the new xGov Council. 
We extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the election and the voting process.
The Council comprises the first 11 candidates with the most votes. They will serve a 12-month term from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026.
The elected councillors are:

The results also include a supplementary cohort, which would be inducted into the council if any current members need to leave before the end of their term. They are:

What’s next
Next week, we will complete legal arrangements with the Councillors and prepare for the program’s launch.
The xGov (Beta) platform is live on testnet and can be accessed at https://testnet.xgov.algorand.co.
Our goal is to launch on mainnet by the end of the month. This will begin with a voter enrollment phase, followed by the official opening of the platform for proposals once enrollment is complete.
Once the mainnet launch date has been confirmed, we will post a detailed timeline in the next few days.
